how to get better press photos
Next to the LP cover, the press photo is the most important promo asset for an artist. Unfortunately, nine times out of ten, press photos at an indie level don’t contribute much to the narrative and add very little to the emotional texture of a release. In this workshop we will not only look at what makes for an effective photo, but we will conceptualise photos in great detail, so that these can eventually be made.

Lukasz Polowczyk is a Berlin-based creative director and music publicist. His client list includes major players such as Warner, Sony and the Goethe Institut, as well as boutique labels such as Mouthwatering Records, Friends of Friends, Dubstuy Records, Project Mooncircle, Quiet Love Records. He also releases spoken word records, the most recent one is called AINT ABOUT ME.
