Workshop in english: MUSIC IN A LENS (how to make a better press photo)
Next to the LP cover, the press photo is the most important promo asset for an artist. Unfortunately, nine times out of ten, press photos at an indie level don’t contribute much to the artist’s narrative and add very little to the emotional texture of a release. In this workshop we will not only look at what makes for an effective photo, but we will conceptualise photos in great detail, so that these can and, hopefully, will eventually be made.
Workshop by: Lukasz Polowczyk is a Berlin-based creative director and music publicist. It was celebrated by Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC 6, Verity Sharp on BBC1 Late Junction, played on WorldWideFM, On The Wire Radio etc.
